Oman

October 17-25 October & December 5-13

Oman is a neighboring country of the United Arab Emirates. However, the sultanate is not at all like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. More than half a million people live in Muscat, but you will not see a single skyscraper. In the Mutrah Souk you will get lost in a labyrinth of narrow streets with centuries-old houses. History is cherished in Muscat. The authentic Arab hospitality is immediately noticeable upon arrival in Oman. In the coastal town of Muscat you cannot ignore the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque. Inland there are many more beautiful places to discover, from the natural wadis to the Omani heritage at Nizwa Fort. At Ras al Jinz you can marvel at the many turtles all year round. Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun) does not bear that name for nothing, because the mountain is no less than 3000 meters high. It can be chilly at the top. The mountain range is also called the Arabian Grand Canyon. Before we head out into the hustle and bustle of Doha, we’ll first relax on Diyamniat Island, where you can snorkel and swim.
